2. To a fifteen year-old, 30.5 years old is ancient...
To a 55 year-old, 30.5 years old puts you in the toddler range.

4. I'm 46 and working toward an AA
With the goal of continuing for a BA. And I'm keeping my options open for the possibility of law school. So you won't find me saying its too old.

12. I know all about that
I have kids older than some of my classmates. But its all relative - as someone else said, better than being 30.5 with NO masters.

5. for what?
lioness... hon, you make a lot out of age. I remember a thread you started about wanting to get married now while you're young and beautiful... and while I understand your frustration over the discrimination in marriage laws, I don't get why age has anything to do with it.

30.5 is just a number.

At 43 I am more active, more fit, and "younger" than I ever was at 33.

Decide what you're going to do w/ your life and don't let what anyone else thinks about you or your age get in your way.

15. I wish I was you
I'm almost 41 now, and I was in much better shape when I was 30.

Unfortunately, marriage, divorce, remarriage and fatherhood has gotten me way out of shape. And, I seem to work more hours these last 6-7 years, too.

16. truth be told
I was in such bad shape back then that almost anything would have been an improvement.

I learned to love myself a little bit and decided that it was up to me to take care of me.... so I did.

19. I'm 45 and thinking about doing an MA in psychology.
I'm getting bored with the career I've followed for the past two decades and feel like doing something totally different.

You're only too old when they're nailing a lid on the box you're lying in.
