2. He's not a senior now, is he?
If he's not, try to get him to finish out HS in California so he can pay in-state rates. School here is pretty cheap for residents.

3. I think because I am a resident, he would still pay resident rates
I have to look further into that though.

4. YAY!
Though I'm less than thrilled with California's education system in general, there are some mighty fine colleges around here!

...that, and you get your son back. ;)

5. High School here sucks - the public colleges are great though!
Go figure.

Minnesota school districts are great about funding K-12 education, but not good at funding the public colleges.

California, OTOH, because of Proposition 13 and some other stuff, is lousy about funding K-12 education, but the public colleges are well funded, and maintained.

Bugs me to no end that the PTA has to pay for building improvements and school non-academic employee salaries, rather than actual enrichment for the children.

Okay, off the soapbox now.

I hope he finds a school he'll really like, and one that's not too far away.

It kills me that I am here and he is in Minnesota right now (but I know it is for the best).

13. I have a friend that graduated from CSULB. She loved it.
She was able to get into graduate school at Pepperdine as well.

Good luck. :)

But it is his decision.

23. My SIL's Mother quit the RCC and hates them since long ago, but she still sent her kids to...
Notre Dame and Boston College. If your kid doesn't go to Augustana, Wittemberg, Gustavus, or maybe Thiel you'll be destroying their heritage as children of a Minnesotan ;-)
