I got CARDED today!
It wasn't even a new cashier. I think it was my glasses... they hide the bags under my eyes. Whatever it was, it puts me in a GREAT MOOD!

And how are you? :hi:

10. Congrats... Getting carded is great if you remembered your ID.
And me: I'm recovering from 3 hours in the dentist chair yesterday. It was brutal. I had some damage to a few of my front teeth that kept me from smiling. At first they told me that not much could be done. Three hours later and they look great. But, I am still sore. And now I am very poor. The nest egg is gone.

13. I'm driving so I have my license on me always.
I've heard that getting serious dental work is very painful, but if you didn't like to smile then the work will be worth the pain and the money. I'm sorry you've had to suffer!

11. ah I remember those days
I would get carded until my mid 30's. I have one of those baby faces which I hated as a teenager but enjoyed when I got older.
10 years later, ah NO I don't get carded. Enjoy.

15. You went to Hannaford, huh?
I got carded on Sunday. I was told they are carding everybody. The clerk was nice about it, but said if she didn't card me she could be fired. It brought out the rebel in me. Time to make a booze run to N.H.!

It was Hannaford. I wonder why they're carding everybody. What were you told?

22. Keep those wind in your sails, darlin'. You look lovely.
There's been a lot of problems in the Portland area with underage booze/smoke buying. By carding everyone they circumvent the problem. It doesn't seem fair to me to put all the responsibility on the poor clerk. I know Red Apple also does it.

25. there are a few stores here in MA
that CANNOT ring up the UPC code of alcohol or cigarettes until a MA license has been scanned into the computer.

The computers leave nothing to the judgment of the person working the counter, and ID has to be scanned, otherwise, the price of the booze or butts cannot be read by the computer.
