Ten Funniest Motion Picture Association of America Film Ratings Reasons

I just found this blog post (dated Sept. 7th). Here's the list:

But sometimes, the folks at the MPAA really outdo themselves, as in these ten examples compiled by All Movie Guide*:

10. Mother’s Boys (1994)
“Rated R for language and for a mother’s sociopathic behavior”

9. Indian in the Cupboard (1995)
“PG for mild language and brief video images of violence and sexy dancing”

8. All I Wanna Do (1998)
“PG-13 for teen sex-related material, language, and substance misuse”

“R for strong bloody ninja violence and a humorous drug related scene”

6. War of the Buttons (1994)
“PG for mischievous conflict, some mild language, and bare bottoms”

it would have strong bloody ninja violence in very bad weather. i'd go see that in the theater.

No use in living anymore

bad weather gets Twister the PG-13, but a near cell-phone tower smashing through the front window of the main antagonist's truck killing everyone inside isn't mentioned?

Never mind that he was the good guy turned pirate in "The Princess Bride"!

What with all those serious drug-related scenes and all.

And the "mild kicking" of Spider, who died in the film but went on to be Christopher
in "The Sopranos".

And Tarantino thinks he's the only one who can pause to wink at his fanbase.
