I've been sick and sleeping all day but woke up about an hour ago and discovered everyone's taken off with friends. I'm still too vaguely head-achey for a drink, all the good movies are gone at Blockbuster by now, and I'm too unmotivated to take myself out to the movies.

I just finished the Dick Francis novel I was reading too, so I don't have anything in the house to read dammit.

Must. stay. away. from. computer. solitaire.

I still don't know a lot of people well enough to call on the spur of the moment to go do something.

get some chocolate

and a movie

and some popcorn

and some comfy clothes

and something to drink

and just let it all hang out

My husband is visiting with a friend a few hours drive a way. I chose not to go because I haven't chosen to make amends with this particulair friend yet.
One of my friends from work was going to go to a particuliar bar this evening. I was unable to reach her by phone however. The bar is less than a half mile away. I don't know for sure if/when she will be there though, and I am unsure if I want to be at a bar unaccompianied since the men in this town are perverts, and I am married anyway. If I'd stop in, I am not sure if I'd want to drive or walk. It would just be horrible for me if the police stopped me on the way home, which could happen considering I have a burned out tail light. It isn't too far to walk except that it is cold, and I feel a bit unsafe walking at night alone and would feel even more unsafe walking home alone from a bar, especially if I were impaired.
I'll probably just stay home and read my book.

Debating between Forrest Gump, the Cutting Edge or Rent (otherwise I have to go hard-core like LOTR or cartoons like Little Mermaid). Dammit, why don't I own a roomful of cool DVDs for times like these (that occur maybe once every 5 years?!)

I have got to find something to do or I'll eat my way through the M&Ms straight on to the Rocky Road in the freezer.
