I miss the vacant lot that's been there since the early 1970's. You won't have to live across the street from that stupid tiki bar. My god Ole Bud must be twirling in his urn. ( that'll give you some idea how long I've lived in Oakland)

After all, the sadists already have plenty of space of their own.

Seriously, the last time I seriously looked at condos was 2001, and you know what happened to the market since. Even now I hear the bloody racket of construction crews putting up more condos in my neighborhood -- as the rents still keep going up and buildings keep going condo. I would have to relocate to another area (perhaps even another state) and commute in if I wanted something affordable.
