Yay for me!

It's a hand-me-down from SIL who got a new one (she's lost so much weight, it's crazy!), because she needed one that was a bigger challenge for her. But anyway for the past week I've been riding it everyday. I do about three miles, just to get my heart rate up, but today I deiced to go balls out and did six miles. And I did it 20mins too, on one of the harder settings! :woohoo:

I'm gonna get in shape, dammit! :P

2. My SIL is a very good inspiration
plus the bike is there, I have to ride it! I'm starting off slow, just to get in the habit. :D

3. Bicycling is a good way to get moving.
I use the low tech approach these days, riding a real bike mostly on bike paths. It's amazing how fast it goes from a struggle to get up that hill to easy as pie.

When I was a city dweller I had an exercise bike and used to ride it with music on -- the goal was to pedal until the end of a certain song. It made the time fly.
