I merely asked what was asked of Skinner and a DUer helpfully referenced the post. I then responded, pointing out that we all must do our best to solve the dilemma of the Dem party ourselves.

I read GD quite a bit, but rarely post there. I like it sometimes and sometimes I don't. It seems more contentious than the lounge.

Seems to say to me that poster is implying others
are labeling people as fascist.

I made the mistake of posting on one of the innumerable Bill Maher/Breastfeeding threads in GD a few days ago, expressing an opinion that way too much time was being expended on the topic. Well.... Some of our resident paleo-feminists, behaving for all the world as if it was still 1979 or thereabouts, savaged me pretty thoroughly. Things can get out of hand around here, no doubt about it.....

a fascist. They know everything over there, and have ways of seeing into your wretched soul-- knowing things about you that you don't know yourself.

I am regularly corrected on the error of my ways in GD, although I don't remember actually being called anything so droll as a fascist. I think, though, that several times people held back from calling me an ignorant horse's ass because that could cause them trouble.

At any rate, pull up a sock and sit down with a nice drink here, where your dining choices certainly get you villified, but never your politics.

or pour a drink when you walk in here all blooded and bruised from gd or gdp...
