Anyone here live in Oregon during the "Brewer's Revolution"?
That is, the period of time from the mid 80's to the mid-90's. That's when Oregon became the king of all craft and microbrews, and homebrewing was all the rage.

Parties at Oregon State consisted of kegs of hommeade beer. It was wonderful.

Anyone else remember that time?

1. Lived in Eugene from

'69 to '95...not really a beer drinker though. Lots of
great wineries in Oregon and we visited many of them.
Cheers...p

2. Yes - the vintners discovered Pinot in Oregon during that time didn't they?
Which, I imagine, would be equal to that time....

3. Yes.
A bunch of my friends would get together in downtown to drink on a specific night each week. One week, some guy name Rob showed up. We ended up getting a tour of the new brewery he and his brother had started.

6. Widmer
I like Widmer's beer better, but I love going to any of the McMenamins. I will never tire of the artwork on the walls and the grounds around their buildings.

13. Well yeah - that place is awesome - brewing supplies, small batch beer and open mike night!
But McMenamins is something we Californians are jealous of.

You gotta admit, they run a cool shop.

14. If I had money to move and a job waiting for me, I'd head there in a heartbeat.
That, or if I ever get to a point where I can make a living from home. Then I could move, because my job would move with me. :)
