To the nasty old hag in the Target parking lot....
Exactly what the fuck set you off? I'm curious what could cause someone to be so nasty to a complete stranger attempting to load a purchase? Especially one feeling as lousy as I did tonight? Kindly die in a fire, you mean old bag.

So I'm up here in the new place, and have very little furniture. Tonight I went by Target and bought a new desk for the office so I can begin getting my book and scrapbooking all organized. It's going to be a long winter, and I want to have lots to work on.

I've been feeling like shit all day-- lots of dizziness, but I may be able to put the desk together tomorrow night, so I have to plan my activities well in advance, because I never know how I'll feel from one minute to the next. This needed to be done.

A salesgirl loaded the desk onto a flatbed cart in back and brought it to the front of the store for me, but she was evidently being pressured by managers to get back to what she'd been working on. So they handed me off to someone else. This girl told me to pull my car up in front of the store, and they would load the purchase for me. I told her I was in a handicapped spot not too far away, but she told me it'd be OK.

No sooner had I pulled up in front of the door, then someone was right on my tail as I opened the tailgate of the Element.

"Go around," I gestured.

"It's not a loading zone!!!" She snarled.

"Well, the employees inside told me to pull up here and they would help me load something. I won't be a minute."

"YOU'RE BLOCKING THE DRIVEWAY!" she snarled again.

Which I most certainly wasn't. I was in a lane in the front of the store, and there was at least one lane for people to drive past me. She just didn't want to (there was not traffic; the store was not crowded). She continued to rant, sitting in her car with no other cars blocking her from going anywhere, so I yelled, "I have multiple sclerosis, and I need help loading a piece of furniture! Is there anything ELSE you'd like to BITCH ABOUT??!!"

She continued to rant, so with my typical poise and grace, I just yelled "Fuck you, lady!!"

Nothing like having the understanding of the public when you feel like shit.

1. So what if it's a loading zone?
Shit happens. To everyone. All the time. If it's shit that could even remotely possibly be performed by you or your loved ones, then you are obligated to deal with said shit.

People in this country REALLY need to relax. No matter how bad you've got it, statistically you're doing better than anyone else in the world.

3. if anything like that ever happens again,
walk over to the window and tell them that you have MS, and ask them if they can help you load your stuff.

Then stand there and watch while they either pony up, or act like complete assholes...in which case you should either: 1. Dial 911 and press charges for verbal assault, or 2. ask them if they are Christians, and if they will pray for you. (#2 if you are really in the mood just to fuck with them)

He told s story about how some guy came up to him in traffic and started screaming at him. He screamed back at the guy that he knew the guy stole his jacket and he wanted it back. Gotta keep them shrill old hags on their toes.

16. That can't load merchandise in the parking lot
You are required to pull up in front of the store to have your merchandise loaded in the car. I bought a piece of furniture from Target earlier this week, and the clerk told me for insurance reasons, they are not allowed to load stuff in your car in the parking lot. She was just being a nasty old bitch.

Male announcer: The red zone is for immediate loading and unloading of passengers only. There is no stopping in a white zone.
Female announcer: No, the white zone is for loading. Now, there is no stopping in a RED zone.
Male announcer: The red zone has always been for loading.
Female announcer: Don't you tell me which zone is for loading, and which zone is for unloading.
Male announcer: Look Betty, don't start up with your white zone shit again. There's just no stopping in a white zone.
Female announcer: Oh really, Vernon? Why pretend, we both know perfectly well what this is about. You want me to have an abortion.
Male announcer: It's really the only sensible thing to do, if its done safely. Therapeutically there's no danger involved.

34. If having her exit "blocked" for a minute is the worst thing that happened to her yesterday...
...then she had a good day.

Geez, some people really just need to chill the f*ck out. Being inconvenienced for a brief moment isn't that big of an inconvenience. If that's all most of us had to deal with on a regular basis, then the world would be a better place. Minor things like that don't warrant getting yourself, and someone else, all bent out of shape.

If someone told me that they had MS and needed help loading something into their car, I would have dropped everything to help out, whether or not I was in a hurry. That's more beneficial and productive, for both parties, than yelling at the other person for being in the way.

I hope you're doing better today. :hi:

walk calmly over to her car right up to the drivers side window, slowly turn, and fart in her face. I can do it on command. Not all people have this gift, but it really gets your point across. It's an especially handy gift in restaurants, when someone at the next table is being loud, obnoxious, what have you. I slowly walk by their table and pull the methane trigger. The fun part is their faces are at ass-level which really enhances the message... My friends call me 'The Skunk'.

51. I did not have nasty old hag, but nasty old man at IKEA the other day
Man simply was not watching where he was going (I was in the snack bar area, with my cart full of purchases - cart was as close to the table I was sitting at as possible).

So the guy trips over one of the cart's wheels and starts screaming and swearing at me about it being in the way. I had been sitting at that table for probably 5 minutes, enjoying a snack, and no fewer than twenty people walked by and did not run into the cart.

My reply to the asshat was that 1. he should have watched where he was going, and 2. that it was not necessary, in fact it was extremely rude to swear at me like that.

He went and sat down and stared at me until I left.

When I left, I went to him and said, "Have a wonderful day, Sir. You have certainly made my day."

I mean how hard would it have been just to drive around?

I don't understand people sometimes. While I'm not always the perfect angel... like I see that someone who I like to call the parking space stalkers..(ya'll know the ones that follow you in their cars as you are leaving the store..so that they can grab your space as you leave) I take my sweet ass time unloading the cart...then take the cart to the little buggy pen and take my sweet time getting back to the car..getting in the car etc. hey, I didn't tell them to wait on me. especially if there are other spots out there.

anyhow... for people like her.. I just tell them "have a nice day". I have to thank Bon Jovi for learning that one... I guess it's the new jersey way of saying "f*ck off". I dunno.

65. Haha...
I've had something similar happen to me before in Miami.

I was checking out of our hotel during a busy period of the morning-- lots of cars, limos, and taxis coming and going. The valet brought our car to the front, but he parked it in an area usually reserved for drop-off's only (the valet zone was across the median.) Anyways, the car behind us started honking while we were having our bags loaded and a woman gets out and starts screaming about her husband needing to get to the front to drop her bags blah blah blah...Anyways I just looked at him then at her and said "I'm sure he'll get over it," and tipped the bellmen and left.

I was in a bitchy mood that morning. :P

68. Love your response to the hag.
The other day in the grocery store this lazy douchebag in front of me decided last minute she didn't want some dog chews and threw them in a battery bin at the beginning of the aisle. I said, excuse me, do you not want these, and she said no, so I handed them to the cashier and said loudly, she doesn't want these. I have changed my mind at the reg but as a common fucking courtesy give the shit to the cashier,to make their job easier, and not just try and stash it someplace, if I can't put it back.

69. Sounds like what happened to me at Walmart while using one of their little go carts for shopping.
I was limping along shopping with one arm that was broken in 3 places and tunneling vertigo from
a VERY BIG CONCUSSION. A nasty woman told me that those carts were for WALKING problems, not arms.
BITCH,
