I cannot believe I am starting a Cat Picture Thread...

Just shoot me now...

Anyhow, RetroGirl had her 7th birthday party today at the Humane Society and came home with Francesca, a 5 month old black cat.

Here's a couple of cell phone pics I received today.





Did Imention I am allergic to cats?

Oh, and I've never seen RetroGirl happier. :D

2. Awww...Both of your "girls" are so cute!
I'm glad she got an all-black kitty. First of all, they're gorgeous, and second of all, some people don't want to adopt them because of that stupid stigma against black cats. So, it's always great when one finds a home. :applause:

and I used to let the cats run wild. This girl came in and she FREAKED!!! She was all"I came to rent a weekly motel room and the first thing i see is a black cat" She was gone!!

Here is "Bear." He loves fresh water. Even though we bought him a cat drinking fountain, he prefers the guest bathroom's "drinking fountain"! Crazy cat...

he is gorgeous. My late cat Octavia did the in her last years too. Sitting at the faucet, drinking from there. Other than that she preferred ceramic bowls :eyes:

6. He's done it all his life...
When we moved into this house, we hoped he'd break the habit. We weren't even here a day, it seems, before he jumped up onto the sink and sat at the faucet. He'd look at us as if he was thinking, "Are you stupid, or what... turn on the damn faucet!!" lol! :rofl:

Mine used to sit in front of her water bowl (which war actually a pitcher) and wait till we filled it up to the rim. Not saying anything, just sitting there looking. They are nutz but that is why we love them

19. My old cat used to insist on drinking water straight from the tap...
...until I installed a water filter and filled her bowl with filtered water. She was quite happy with bowl water after that. A vet friend told me some cats are very sensitive to the smell of chemicals and toxins in tapwater, which get concentrated when sitting in a bowl (or even when recycled through a "fountain"). Running tap water has less of a "chemical smell" apparently. Filtered water is best of all.

21. Our two kittens.
We adopted them from a local shelter at about 8-10 weeks of age. This is them a few weeks ago at about 3 1/2 months, playing in the backyard on their little harnesses. They both went to the vet today and he said they are healthy and big for their age. Although they can be little devils at times, we love them dearly. They're great little beasties.

They did absolutely everything, from sending out invitations, to giving a tour, to providing cake. It was full service all the way.
