I almost Never go to GD, never have, and typically only end up there when there's an interesting thread that reaches the greatest page and then it's only occasionally that I'll post in that thread. I spend time in the Lounge and a few groups and forums. Usually when I see people in the Lounge complain or laugh at what is going on in GD I've no clue what they're talking about.
Perhaps this is why I've never felt the need to take a break from DU but then maybe that reflects a lack of commitment on my part - keeping my distance so to speak. :shrug:
There are heated debates and sometimes arguments but there are also a lot of informative posts and insight. Stop being so shy and join the rest of us, you might be surprised! I didn't listen to what others said about GD. I went and tried it out myself. ;)
