What are some of the reasons people come to DU?(the lounge)
I know why i came originally..Politics
Then two years ago today I found the lounge.
And stayed here for personal reasons
I remember my first post here...I wasn't in a good place.
I am now ;)
Thank you to those who ARE my friends..
A few i can never repay.

Why and when did you first come to the lounge?

9. Personal interaction.
I read the other forums but usually don't post unless I find a worthy article that's not been posted or I have a question. For the most part, my opinion is like many others so I don't bother to post to agree and repeat what others have already said. Besides..it can ummm..be dangerous to post in GD.

I really don't post much in the lounge either, but a majority of my posts are here. I think my first post was a rant about my lone republican offspring, who I might add has since seen the light. Even my very republican DIL is saying this is the worst president ever!

Gd is a war zone at least to me.
I have over 22000 + post 99.7% of them in the lounge
But i am sort of a attn whore.

It used to make me wonder where I went wrong since my other two are liberal.

I've cried with DU, fought with a few, walked away but my heart is here with so many of you that I can't stay gone forever. I worry about the missing DUers and include some of them in my meditations.

I've been here since November 2004.
Thank You to all of the DUers who've held my hand (cyber links work) through some lonely spots in my life.

But I didn't actually come here until I followed a link in a Yahoo chat room.

I spent a few weeks posting only in GD. I noticed people saying things like "This thread belongs in the Lounge", and since those comments were usually about something I'd found amusing I decided to go check out this Lounge. I've rarely posted in GD since. :D
