ANYBODY in the Dallas area know a really KILLER sports medicine doctor?
About 4 weeks ago I shattered my elbow and I have a devastating amount of damage to overcome. The
ER was good to me and the ortho surgeon who performed surgery was okay I guess....BUT my arm is literally FLOPPING around like a limp fish and physical therapists have given me very little hope of return of any degree of normal movement or function. The surgeon even told me that I was "lucky" that he was on call for the ER that day because "any other doctor would have just opened it up and thrown the broken pieces in the trash." I am SO LUCKY (his words) that instead he put 9 pins in there and
didn't throw my elbow in the can. Well, I am not feeling so lucky. I can't return to my life like this and I also can't find anyone to give me a more hopeful opinion. I said HOPEFUL, not MIRACULOUS, I am trying to remain reasonable but I am desperate. Anyone know anybody out there who knows somebody who is an elbow expert? I found ONE GUY and wouldn't you just fucking know it, he won't take my HMO plan. Feeling sorry for myself at the moment but maybe one of you will have an answer. PLEASE!

1. there are some find a doctor links out there,
I can tell you about heart surgeons, pediatricians, gyns, family practitioners, allergists and radiation oncologists because I am friends with or patients of said categories over here on the west side of the metroplex.

Try Baylor Sports Medicine as a start

2. I did. I have a friend who works at Baylor and she is looking around.
Ever heard of the CARRELL clinic? I keep hearing that name.
