1. Had to pick Taco Bell
By default, since I've never even seen one, let alone eaten at one.

4. TACO TICO!!!!!
Edited on Thu Oct-04-07 11:19 PM by mycritters2
God, I miss that place!! Great BIG meals for like no money, and all the food was great!! I used to schedule hospital visits in Ft. Dodge so that I just HAD to stop for either lunch or supper at Taco Tico. I loved that place.

So, of course, there aren't any here.

8. You can still have a decent meal there for under $5.
A good Taco Salad and a Taco on the side is good. And their Texas Burritio is huge!!

11. And anything they made with meat, they'd make with beans
instead, no questions asked. Cheap veggie food. Who could ask for anything more?

14. Webster? Webster County?
Well maybe it's a sign you need to move back. It seems to be a strong desire of yours anyway.

20. Webster City. It wasn't there when I lived there.
Edited on Fri Oct-05-07 11:27 AM by mycritters2
The one in Ft. Dodge was. Here's an interesting bit of Iowa trivia. Webster County used to be twice as large as it is now--encompassing both Ft. Dodge and Webster City, and points in between. They decided it was too large and split it in half. The half that didn't contain Webster City kept the name Webster county. The half that contained Webster City became Hamilton County. Webster City is the county seat of Hamilton County. Ft. Dodge is the seat of Webster County.

I figure another year here, and then I'll go back. There are actually two churches I'm keeping an eye on. Both of their pastors have resigned, but they haven't started the search process yet. When they do, I'll send my resume.

24. Ok. Webster City's a nice little town.
One of my sisters lived around there, in Duncombe. It's centrally located, right on a major road. Very nice small town. Think I might pass by there today if I go to Boone or Osceola and do some train-watching. Well, kinda by there anyway.

5. I haven't seen a Taco Tico since I was in undergrad school.
The only thing I remember about it is spending 3 bucks and getting stuffed after many long drunken nights.

7. When I was growing up, there was one in Kewanee,
but it's not there now. I didn't even know it was a chain until I moved to North Central Iowa.

Yep, good food CHEAP!!

:puke:

I'll still eat it in a pinch, though.

I meant the Taco Bell, there... but I suppose I'd eat dog food, too, really, if I was starving.

29. Bueno is more beuno
It's a shame that Taco Bueno isn't in more states. It'd REALLY nail Taco Bell if it was.

Actually, Taco Cabana is better than Taco Beuno. Cabana is the real deal!

32. Taco Time
They make this crispy burrito that's to die for. And their hot sauce has a fantastic flavor if not much heat.

They also make a huge veggie burrito that I sometimes get. Basically a mission burrito style wrap with pinto beans, seasoned rice, cheddar cheese, sour cream, lettuce, salsa fresca and roasted sunflower seeds. The sunflower seeds are a nice touch. If asked, they will hold the cheese and the sour cream.
