my son learned to tie his shoes a week or two ago, but I missed it too.

He showed me though, and it is still cool...

5. I know. I don't live with my son either
and while I experience peace living on my own, and see him nearly every day, I miss him terribly when we're not together.

at least you care about your daughter enough to remember her birthday and be upset that you aren't there with her when she wakes up.

some of us don't have dad's like that - and it sucks until we manage to move past it.

And be there for her even if you have to fight to do it. My daughter grew up with a father who is "too busy" to spend time with her.
