any python programmers out here?
just curious. i'm turning into a python freak and wondered if anyone else has dabbled with the language.

1. Yes
I started about 6 months ago and it is a great language to whip stuff up quickly. I love their licensing terms too (basically free for any use). I am planning on embedding it in my next software project.

2. have you messed with Tkinter?
i like it better than perl's interface to Tk. somebody at my office turned me on to python and i'm sold on it.

also, have you downloaded activestate's free python ide? the editor and the interpreter both rock.

4. No.
I run on Macs which makes it a little more difficult to do just about anything. But it does make me immune to most viruses and worms going around. It would take quite a bit to get TK up and running. I'm mostly using it to do data conversion and database manipulation on my server, it is *much* easier than PHP or Perl.

I've heard good things about Ruby too, but I only have so much time...
