Any of you ever miss tropical weather?
I've lived in Ecuador, Costa Rica and Thailand over time. Although the heat killed me when I did - I miss that every so often. That wet heat of the tropics.

Of course we get that here - it was kind of refreshing in Houston. And Miami never lets me down.

Anyone else miss it?

3. The &*%^$ are selling large tracts of the Amazon
I feel I gotta get some so they won't deforest it.

Maybe this will open...

4. The only thing good about hot, humid, tropical weather is
the sunsets are usually spectacular. Other than that, I could be happy if I never, ever, experienced that kind of weather again. Give me warm and dry-as-a-bone fall weather, or cool and sunny, or even rain and snow.

7. I miss it too
it wasn't ass-hot where I lived in the Peace Corps, but it was still hot... and humid. I lost a lot of weight for no reason that I can think of other than the heat and humidity (and I didn't have worms).

plus, my hair was so much healthier back then.

8. Never. I lived in South Florida most of my life until I moved
up here to the Atlanta area. I don't miss tropical weather in the least. I never realized that there were seasons other than spring and summer and more summer.
