Poll question: Yankees fans - should A-Rod stay or should he go now?
I would love for him to play his whole career with us and become part of our long history of legends, especially since he is on track (barring injuries) of becoming the greatest player of all time.

But if he leaves, as his agent says he should, he stands to land a $300 million 10 year deal.

What do you Yankee fans think and why?

1. He's not on track for nothin'.
Okay, maybe the career HR title. ;)

But he'll never be as great as Ruth, Wagner, or Mays.

4. Stats are stats.
Willie played in the NL in the '60s, when teams were scoring 3 runs a game. Rogriguez has played in a league and era when runs are a dime a dozen.

If you wanna say stats are stats, Honus and the Babe are worlds above A-Rod. As are Ted Williams and Mickey Mantle. And Bonds, even if you only count his pre-roid numbers.

In any case, Ruth's the greatest, not Willie -- Willie couldn't pitch. ;)

6. Pay-Rod will bolt for the money
As WillPitt would say, bank it.

He's not loyal to anyone, up to and including his own wife. Why would he actually stay with the Yankees if he could get paid more somewhere else?

10. That's the $64,000,000 (per year) question...
Right now, he's earning $25 million a year. How many clubs are going to be able to top that? The only team I could imagine being willing and able to go much over that would be...the Spankees.

I say he stays -- for the money.
