I mean have you heard this song? He sounds more feminine than Barbra Streisand!

I nearly drove my car off the road when I heard this....

1. Have you ever seen the pants those 60's-70's Rockers wore?
Talk about stuffing 5 pounds in a 2-pound bag...

6. Pretty embarrassing, I admit.
He's up there with Bob Welch ('Ebony Eyes'), David Essex ('Rock On') and Patrick Hernandez ('Born to be Alive.')

8. Funny story about Nick Gilder.
Back in the eighties, when Nick Gilder was already 'residing in the wherever are they now file,' I saw a blurb on the back pages of People that said some guy had been arrested for using Gilder's name to float credit, buy cars and gamble in the casinos in Las Vegas.

When People Magazine asked Nick Gilder what he thought of it, he laughed.

"What the hell? You mean they loaned him money because he said he was me? I can't even borrow money, and I am me!"

So at least he had a sense of humor about his fifteen minutes.

3. People Did A Lot of Drugs In the 70s
"Muskrat Love" by the Captain and Tenile was a big hit. A song about rodents in love was a hit! Only people on drugs could like that song.

9. song always reminded me of the essay, "A Modest Proposal", in
which it was recommended that young children would be a delectable solution to the current hunger problem.
