2. Absolutely - one of my favorites!
In addition to "Me Talk Pretty One Day", I have copies of "Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim" and "HOlidays on Ice".

Very funny!

3. I haven't read any of his stuff yet, but "Naked" is staring at me from the top of...
...my "to be read" pile, so it's next on my list. I can't wait!

6. Hells Yeah!
I was so sad last week because he was speaking in my town on Saturday but I had to fly down to NC on Friday so I couldn't go  and I was whining to a friend online about missing my one chance but he said I might get a chance again and maybe I will. I would have been a little cooler if I'd got to go see him though. I love all his books and spoken stuff, now just the sound of his voice makes me start laughing.

7. He is so funny that his story "Parade" made a friend laugh out loud
on the bus home the same day she was diagnosed with MS.

8. He's a genius.
I have three of his books: Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, and Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim (the last of which is the funniest IMHO.

"They call him Jesus and he die one day on two... morsels of... lumber," will always make me break into fits of giggles.

13. He was here at our local theatre last night
I had been toying with whether or not to splurge on a ticket for myself. Such indulgences for myself aren't exactly in our budget. Then I had a very good week with my business and figured, hey, I can afford a ticket after all! Called them up and learned they were sold out. My heart is still aching over it! Sedaris is one of the few authors who can make me laugh until I cry, from the sheer written word. I had been fantasizing about having him sign my copy of "Naked" or perhaps "Holidays on Ice." Now it will never happen.

What a fantastic talent!

and then turning it into the funniest thing you've ever read.

18. Never laughed harder at a book....
Than when I read the title essay to Me Talk Pretty One Day. I've got my sister to thank to getting me on to reading Sedaris.

And sister Amy, to boot. Loved, loved, loved "Strangers With Candy" on Comedy Central. For all you Steven Colbert fans out there who haven't seen that show yet, you don't know Noblet!
