Did Anyone Watch the Inspector Lynley Mystery (PBS) Tonight?

Was anyone not watching football or baseball or Desperate Housewives tonight? If so, I have a question: Did I see Helen get shot and killed tonight by a Bosnian refugee, and yet I know from reading the Inspector Lynley book, "With No One As Witness," that this is not the time, the way or the circumstances in which Helen died. I think I must have missed something or am terribly confused. If you watched Inspector Lnyley tonight, please post!! Thanks.

2. Since when does Mystery follow the actual plots of the Lynley books?

They conflate and leave out characters, and a couple of episodes have had nothing to do with any of the books. I don't recall a Bosnian-themed story in the books.
