It just makes no sense to me.

Like where you went to school, what companies you worked for, et cetera. Of course, people outside your "networks" can request to be your friend, but they need to know your real name to find you.

They can't see my profile without being my friend, but it's still disturbing that someone would bother to search my real name and attempt to add me as a friend.

sounds as though they've got a pretty decent security thing going on so for someone to circumvent that, someone who hates you, is pretty creepy behavior. :scared:

Also - when you join facebook you have the option of having facebook send friend requests out to everyone in your email address book. That might have been it too.
