You know, it's been almost three months since I gave up red meat,
and I don't miss it at all

Originally, I though that it'd be the hardest part of my died. But now, no cravings for cheeseburgers, or steak, and I feel like I have so much more energy.

1. It's been over 30 years for me.....
:hi:
and I don't miss it either...

I've have to handle it, though...still creeps me out.
You'll feel a lot better....
Stay balanced! Welcome to the world of meatlessness..

peace~

2. Over thirty years here.
I was a big time carnivore too.

Now the mere thought of eating meat makes me sick.

5. I was raised by a health nut, so I never really got used to eating red meat. :P
The only red meat I've had lately was when I was running late for work, but needed food to keep from fainting halfway through work or something, and I HAD to go to McDonalds. Which has only happened like 4 or 5 times in the last six months.

Ground turkey works fine for italian food type recipes too. :)

6. It can be surprising.
I never missed it for a minute, either. As time passed, it looked less and less like food. (Wait until the smell factor kicks in--the experience of going by a teriyaki place or BK might surprise you.)

Each to his or her own, though. Good luck, and check out the v/v/ar board if you're looking for recipe ideas.
