Okay, I like the new Chevy Malibu commercial

It shows a lady jogging along a sidewalk in a quiet suburban neighborhood in broad daylight. She looks left, right, then crosses the street...

...and jogs straight into the door of a parked, beige, previous-generation Malibu and is knocked to the ground.

Then it cuts to a picture of the new-generation Malibu and a voice says "Coming soon... a Malibu you can't ignore".

It jerked a laugh out of me. :-)

Later on, they show the woman getting to her feet, and jogging off...

...into the fender of the same Malibu before cutting to the same picture and voice-over.

1. And they just showed another new one

Four armed and masked bank robbers run out of a bank. They jump into a beige Malibu parked out front. Two police cruisers (Chevy Impalas, of course) scream in, lights flashing and sirens wailing. The cruisers brake to a stop around the Malibu and police officers jump out. The robbers in the Malibu raise their hands in surrender...

... and look baffled as the policemen charge right past into the bank!

The robbers look around, put the Malibu in gear, and calmly drive off.

It's nice to see GM admitting that the Malibu was about a bland as bland could be and poking some fun at it. :-)

Oh, and the Vikings just scored again! Sweet!
