We made it through the night
The plume of smoke has moved to an area further away from our house. We are still somewhat downwind of the fire but I think, if the fire does not get too much bigger, that we are out of the woods.

Thanks! I was just emailing everyone I know in the area... but I think they are all still asleep! Thank you and please keep us updated, ok?

Still haven't heard from my sister, but I don't want to call her again... it would probably just irritate her and tie up the phone lines (since I'd have to use her cell and they said to try to keep off cell phones except for emergencies).
