I think every World Series Game should start a noon EST
and that every game day should be a national (mandatory) holiday from work

2. Remember listening with a transistor radio and an ear bud during school?
You're younger than me, so you might not, but I distinctly remember every once in a while someone shouting 'YES' and jumping out of their seat.

8. Laugh of you must, matcom, but when I was in grade school
I used to bring my transistor radio to school during the World Series, and the teacher let us listen to it while we did our work.

9. We got to watch it on teevee during lunch
There'd be four or five of us eating our bologna sammiches in the classroom.

During the '67 Series, I was in sixth grade, and we ran outside to tell Mrs. Madsen that St. Louis had taken a big lead. She went, "Oh, don't tell me that! I just want to hear when The Boston does something!"

The Boston.

14. Is 8:00pm eastern too late for you? Hmm, that's a shame.
That's only 6:00pm Colorado time... Looks to me like it's the Rockies who are dictating the schedule.
