Tonight on tap at Tavernertavern: Chouffe Houblon Dobbelen IPA Tripel


I've had Piraat (and loved it) and had to try this stuff. It's also a Belgian IPA - but lives up to that name even better than Piraat. Blonde in color, with a cloudy appearance - pours like a belgian (read, champagne :) )

The hops kick in from the minute you sip to long after you've dusted off the bottle. Very yummy beer.

2. Belgian Ales are amazing
Especially the Belgian Microbews. I need to tour the UK, Belgium and Austria/Germany to find the greatest brewery and the greatest beer.

3. I think I've seen that on tap at the Fat Cat in Norwich!
The Norwich Fat Cat is widely considered by many real ale enthusiasts to be the best pub in Britain. Small wonder that I make a beeline for the place whenever Sheffield Wednesday are playing Norwich City then.
