Pilot Who Crashed Into Lower Genesee Lake Intoxicated

WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. -- A pilot who crashed into Lower Genesee Lake in Summit in June was intoxicated.

Randie Jorgensen and his son, 23, were in an ultralight plane headed to Palmyra when lost power it went down into the lake at about 7:20 a.m.

The plane flipped three times and landed in 40-foot-deep water, investigators said.

Jorgensen submitted to a blood test, which showed he had a blood-alcohol content of 0.216.
