Edit: "A Morgan for Melinda" is the first title I was looking for. "The Children's Hour" is the second title. Good times...

1. Was the second set red? Each one about an 1 1/2 thick?
Sounds very familiar to one I had. Found the complete set at a garage sale for aout $10 or something. Mid 70's or so. Don't remember the name though. Illustrated Childrens Classics maybe?

I left it at home. But had wanted to keep them for my own kids someday. My mom gave them away. And to a family that weren't really "book people" if you know what I mean. I'm almost certain they ended up scribbled on and shredded. Those were some of the best collected stories I've ever seen. And stories for a wide range of ages too.

Are there any collections like these still printed anymore? It's hard to find collections of short stories in any form, really. I probably read every story in the collection I had at least twice.
