OK, could I have a bigger headache right now? Uh......
NO!

Anyone have suggestions concerning what I should do about my Mac Mini not booting up?

It froze up on something. I tried to force quit all of the open applications, but force quit didn't work.

Then out of frustration, turned the power off.

When the power came back on, it decided it was not going to boot, so it just hangs and hangs.

At the very least, I want to rescue my 2 gigs of MP3's.

I just can't figure out what hung it up.

Any thoughts :)

1. Well for the headache if you put your feet in hot water and a cold compress
on your head it should go away. The other stuff I have no idea what you are talking about.

3. Have you tried booting from the installation DVD?
If that will boot run Disk Utility from the installer to repair the disk.

If you have a disk in the drive hold down the mouse button while you re-start it to eject it. Insert the install DVD and restart while holding down "C" key. That will force it to boot from the internal optical drive.
