So I walked into the local comic shop today....

:) I was running errands earlier and my husband asked me to pick up a specific action figure there. I walked in, and there were two clerks (guys in their early 20s) and three customers (guys ages 12 or so up to about 20). I guess they weren't used to seeing women in there, because when I walked in, one of the clerks dropped the sandwich he was eating, and you could have heard a pin drop because it got very quiet in there. :rofl: I asked for the action figure, and the 12-year-old literally ran over to the display rack, grabbed it, and handed it to me. I smiled at him and said thanks, and I had an audience as I paid for said action figure and left. :rofl:

I told my husband about it, and he roared with laughter. He said he wished he'd been a fly on the wall. :P His words: "You drove the fanboys to distraction! They can't handle being around women!" :rofl:

I guess next time I could bat my eyelashes and get all kinds of free stuff. :P

:P :hi: Thanks, though! :) He's a freelance comic artist and has taken great pains to separate himself from the fanboys. He still collects action figures and the like, and I have no problem with that at all. :D

My wife suggested my daughter go to a D&D meet up to meet some new people. She was afraid she wouldn't be well received. I told her you're a girl willingly showing up to play D&D, of course you'll be welcomed.
