Does anyone here have Windows Vista Ultimate?
I upgraded from premium this morning. It's AWESOME!

Dream Scene just knocks my socks off.

I have several high def videos from my vacation this year and by the end of the week, I will have some dream scene files on my website for downoad.

1. it's cool, but I'm picky about where my cpu cycles are being used
and there's not enough coolness for my system to have a 20% overhead just for video wallpapers

and has anyone used the aero-window switch? alt-tab is still just fine to me

2. My desk top to has 4 gigs of memory and about a gig on the graphics accelerator card.
My lap top has to gigs of memory. I have everything full throttle on my laptop with no problems.

5. Same here. DirectX 10 helps shuttle processing on the GPU rather than the CPU too.
So even on my antiquated system (Athlon 4200+ w/4GB RAM, maybe I can get away with a dual 8800 SLI configuration without suffering CPU bottlenecking...)

3. I have it on a couple boxes

that I built myself for home. Then again, I'm a known early adopter. :) Figured I'd get an early jump on it, since I'll be supporting it someday (I'm in the IT field).

I do not use the aero window switchy thing. For eye candy, it's kinda neat, but I never think to use it.

One of my boxes is a Home Theater PC. Hooked it up to my 50" high def TV, and I use the Windows Media Center that comes with Vista as a shell for all my pictures, music, and DVD's. Works great.

4. Desktop AND laptop

Especially when they released the final, non-beta - it's a bit more stable. :)

6. Yep, have Ultimate here
Still discovering all the added features from Home Premium. Still wish I had XP Pro on this box though.
