My newest poem..."Eating at Costco." Tomorrow's homework...
This place is always busy

No matter what the time

People are always eating


The crowd mingles ‘round me

Families, singles, couples

Young and old and all

Grizzled, sleek, unkempt

Some fresh from work

Some on their way


And all the crazy carts

Full of new possessions

Piled high and higher

Waiting to go home


Everybody’s hungry

No matter what the time

People scrounge for places

Trying to decide on what


I see the children fussing

It’s hard to wait their turn


The pigeons scatter

As folks walk through

The crumbs bring them close

They are used to being here too...


The breeze gusts

It blows the trash

Bits of paper

Crumbs and all

Napkins and some cups


The breeze shifts

The umbrellas flip all round

Adding to the din


Eating at Costco

Cause everybody’s hungry

1. We actually ate at Costco Saturday
We had a slice of pizza, a hot dog, two small drinks and a foot-long cinnamon twist for under $6.

I loved your poem, BTW!

3. Now I'm hungry
We were gonna go to Costco for lunch today except my lunch buddy had to run errands. :(

But I'm eating delicious leftover curry that I made last night. :)

I think there are some in the 'burbs, but none here. And I avoid the 'burbs like the plague.

17. If you like them, throw caution to the wind
They're available in the freezer case, six of them for a very reasonable price. It can't be all bad, it's 100% chicken breast (at least the meat part).
