Breakfast before the Austin rally on Saturday...
Hey, GOPisEvil brought up the possibility of folks going to the rally getting together for breakfast Saturday morning. So far, the Kerbey Lane down on Guadalupe and Krispy Kreme have come up as possible places to meet and eat.

Any other suggestions?

...bringing in a crowd, etc. I think if we can show the book stores some interest from the public, we stand a better chance of success. :-)

...but smart money is on the event moving back to September. The kids will be in school, and Austin livens up more.

Sagan has some ins with a couple bookstores. I'll keep ya posted.

Now, GET DOWN HERE Saturday. We're going to scream at Tom DeLay's bitch(es)! :P

it's a great house, the problem is that i'm working in houston so i'm paying a mortgage on a house i'm rarely at. also, i'm going to leave texas anyway so i need to sell it at some point.

26. people are looking....
....but we don't have the house buying frenzy we had 3 years ago. had i put the house up for sale then, i could have gotten between $200k and $250k for it. it's a big house in the city (4 bedrooms, 3 baths, hardwood floors, etc). right now i'm asking about $190k. i'm right across the street from a school and a park.

maybe saturday you can stop by and check it out.

I NEED YOUR HELP! Request from Tom DeLay PLEASE COME HELP!!!!

Runaway democrats Garnet Coleman and Rick Noriega are attempting to mobilize all democrats in the city of Houston in support of their cowardly colleagues in the Texas Senate. The Harris County Democrat Party, along with the Houston Young Democrats, has organized a protest in front of my office in Stafford tomorrow from noon until 2pm.

I am calling on you today!

I am asking you to please come out to my district office at 10701 Corporate Dr. #118, Stafford,so that we may offer a counter-protest. I feel it is extremely important that the truth be told and that the media get both sides of the story.

Please help demonstrate to the entire State of Texas that we Texans do not run from a fight! It is vital that they realize that they were elected to represent the people in Austin not New Mexico or Oklahoma.

Together we can defeat those who try and flee from their constitutional duty

37. well...
the pre-rally thing at the park starts at 10:00 but there's no law that says we have to be there that early. I guess it depends on how much we wanta linger over breakfast and how crowded that Kerbey Lane is on a Saturday morning (never been there for breakfast before).

40. I expect you, me, maybe flush_bush, KCDem, TXLib and kiddoes.
I've been there with bigger groups and not had a problem. We might have to wait a minute or two, but I think we'll manage.

I'm planning on getting there BEFORE 10. I might get there early, read the paper - BS with whoever is there, etc...

I think the pre-rally is for selling stuff like t-shirts and signage. I don't think that kind of activity is allowed on the Capitol grounds. So, the commercial end of the rally has to be off-site. :-)

47. hey, I found directions on Mapquest to the bkfst place
It says it should take 3 hours 16 minutes... but that it's 144.39 miles, which, in my book, is closer to 2 hours. We can probably reasonably be out of here by 8 (I'd say earlier, but I've got the 2 kids and the lazy husband). I'll call GOPisEvil's cell if we're running behind. Go ahead and eat without us, we'll try to arrive by the time ya'll leave the diner!

Hope the weather cooperates. We had some nice showers tonight... maybe it'll be cooler!
