I never get to finish a meal
cuz the dog sits quietly next to me and cries if the last bite goes into my mouth.

I trained him NOT to beg while I ate, so now he sits very quietly next to me - no begging, no whining. but his reward was always the last bite. Now if I try to take the last bite, he lets out a little whimper.

I guess that's a form of begging, but I'll allow it. It's just too cute.

He's learned the art of conspicuously not begging. He'll lay on the floor under the table during dinner and very pointedly not look at you. Every once in a while he glances up to make sure you notice that he's looking somewhere else. If any food falls on the floor, he grabs it instantly, so we know he is watching after all.

2. Yep!
That's my guy.

It's very cute. He's TRYING to be good, but he just really really REALLY wants whatever dad's eating.
