DayQuil is quite possibly one of the most useless creations on the planet.
I took it this morning, and it had no effect at all. I tried it again just to be sure, but it seems like I may as well drink the equivalent amount of water for all the good it does. (Actually, I drink a lot more water than that.)

NyQuil, on the other hand, works for me.

3. Ahh, the Dayquil!
When I was studying for the bar exam, I took a spoonful of Dayquil when I had a touch of the flu. Let me tell you, reading about contracts and evidence under the influence of Dayquil was something else.

I don't know about you, but I got a pretty decent buzz from that stuff.

5. Take it before the exam
They'll be talking about your Article 9 essay for years to come!

(Keep in mind this advice is coming from a guy who answered a tax law question by stating that "I would refer the case to a specialist in the tax law field". Apparently the grader, a tax attorney, liked it, since I somehow passed the exam)

4. I had a horrible cold last year
one of the worst I've ever had. DayQuil got me through the day. Strange it didn't help you. It does contain phenylephrine, which "some experts" claim doesn't work. But then, NyQuil contains it too.

6. I've used the caplets quite a bit
They do make me superficially feel better, but I don't quite know what's going on around me.

I've tried to teach under the influence of DayQuil a few times... it's hard to keep a line of thought going when you're lecturing. I'll just stop for no reason, and not even know it.

"Mr. ChoralScholar, are you okay?"

"Huh? Oh yeah... where was I?"

Now I write on the board:

Mr. ChoralScholar + DayQuil = :)

so the kids know to take it easy on me.

7. DayQuil stopped working for me when they removed the pseudoephedrine.

Phenylephrine is a joke. I don't even bother with it anymore.

10. I tried taking DayQuil one time. It made the cold symptoms
lighten up a bit, but it kept me awake for about 24 hours. Some of the no-drowsiness medications wire me up like that. NyQuil, however, works wonderfully for me. If I feel really bad with a cold I can take a dose of NyQuil and then sleep until almost time for the next dose. Needless to say, I can only take it when I'm able to stay home and I don't have to be responsible for small children.
