Nicholson is said to have convinced Danny DeVito to play The Penguin in Batman Returns.

DeVito, of course, played Wheeler's dispatcher Louie on Taxi. Q.E.D.

5. That's sort of how I did it.

Actually, I completely forgot about "Grease," so I went this way:

Julius Erving was in "The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh" with Harry Shearer.
Harry Shearer is on "The Simpsons," which has James L. Brooks as co-executive producer.
James L. Brooks is one of the co-creators of "Taxi," which starred Jeff Conaway.
