Feast or famine.

That's the thing about working independently- nothing's guaranteed. Oh, computers break and new virii keep being written, so eventually I'll get the call. But sometimes I just have to sit back and enjoy the days (and sometimes weeks) of downtime when all is well with the computer world.

And then the phone rings, and suddenly it won't STOP. Three and four jobs a day for weeks (I once worked every day for a solid month without a break). The feast more than makes up for the famine. I earned enough today to replace the tires on The Beast, and have the front end aligned too.

But I wish my clients would practice moderation- they should KNOW when I'm overworked, and have a bit of compassion! Space the calls out a bit. Get together on the psychic network and PLAN these things, dammit.

Oh, well, c'est la vie.

I'm sleeping in tomorrow. I earned it. I hope you do too. :toast:
