I have ventured forth into GD,and lived to tell the tale
in fact, I am sort of a GD God ... on the order of Baal or Gilgamesh, with my likeneses all in ruins scattered about ... but nonetheless a God.

Bow down before me, oh you lounge beings. Supplicate at my feet that I may know your worthiness ....

or not ... I mean, not if you don't want to.

We are an equal opportunity Deity.

look too big in those pants.

BTW, I am taking applications for co- Gods and Goddesse, as well as a whole host of minor deities and mythical creatures. You might want to apply.

16. After too many years
I am going back to gad school to get the MA I should have gone for after graduating from college in ####.
My wife is going back too. We are in the govt. and history dept. together. She is the govt. side and I am the history side, but will take 18 hours of govt. so I can teach that as well.

The whole deity thng is really sort of a sideline. (But I don't want that to get out, as the worshipers can be a fickle lot ... as my bard said, "What fools these mortals be")

18. I am writing a review of a
book about the Aaron Burr conspiracy. I still have a lot of work to do, but thi is going to be somewhere near the
beginning:

How can you not be drawn into a book that starts off with a chapter entitled simply: The Cauldron? Whether intentional or not, this powerful metaphor conjures up images of witches, mystery, and intrigue. Improbable to find a MacBeth in the sprawling American West? He’s there in Buckner F. Melton’s AARON BURR: CONSPIRACY TO TREASON . . . or is he? Like Banquo’s ghost, Aaron Burr appears first here, then there, with, all witnesses agree, an ambitiousness not unlike the thane in Shakespeare’s drama. But what was he about?

:)

3. When the fires were bad here, I did a GD binge
Complete with hangover...

Don't need to do that again for awhile.

I did a GD binge after the bridge fell in Minneapolis too.

I suppose I will do another GD binge when the big one hits here, if my wifi is working.

20. Lucky you!
I just got my first little beating in GD. Some of it was my fault, I admit, but the disagreement was mainly over semantics. And I learned some stuff.

I'm not a heated poster, so I usually don't mind venturing over.
