Buying Concert Tickets 14 Months In Advance
Celine Dion announced a U.S. tour today. Her gig in Vegas is ending this December, so I guess she'll want to continue making $$$$$$$$$$.

Tickets for many of the dates begin going onsale next Saturday.

Pretty standard stuff, except when you notice that the tour does not begin until August 2008, with dates continuing through January 30, 2009.

So, you can put your Hundreds Of $$$ down now, for a show which will take place After the next President is inaugurated in 2009.

I thought U2 was bold a couple of years ago, when they started selling tickets in February for concerts that December. But Celine outdoes that easily.

There will be plenty of Morons paying top dollar, which will probably be $150+/ticket, if not more. And they'll have a nice piece of paper to stare at for the next 14 months.

She'll take the worthless American $$$ she gets now, and convert them to Canadian Dollars. By the end of 2008, the Canadian Dollar will be around $1.50 to the U.S. $.

Once you charge the tickets, that money is theirs.

It goes into Their accounts, and earns interest for them, Not you.

Plus, I'm sure she converts it to Canadian dollars, so she's insulated from any drop in the $ over the next 14 months.

But the amount of interest they'll earn will be staggering. An additional 5% easily, and more given the 100% likely decline in the U.S. $.

show up, will have been reminded by the note on their calendar to refresh their blue hair tint for the concert.
