On "The Office," are they supposed to be part of a documentary
or reality show? You know, all those shots against the wall, etc.

1. Yes
And most of the time they stick to the premise, but once in a while they cheat, and the camera angles don't seem to be from the perspective of a documentarian. But usually they are.

3. Poor Darkstar!
Hee hee hiya KW. The Tragic Kingdom is EXHAUSTING. Went to Universal Islands of Adventure today and, with the one-two punch of Magic Kingdom yesterday, MG Jr. is a total wreck. He passed out at 7:30 tonight and likely would have conked out earlier given half a chance. And this from a kid who usually drags his heels and won't go to bed till well after 9:00. But he IS having fun. Even if he was too pooped to eat dinner.

One thing I did notice, though--we had about an hour to wait for the bus to Universal (my how the Power That Is Disney does everything it can to keep you on site--it was like pulling teeth to figure out how to get a bus out of Westworld!) (is that TV movie reference dating me?) so we went to the hotel playground to fritter the time away. And of course to a 4 YO, playing at a new playground is amusement enough. No need to spend hundreds on theme parks--sandbox, swings, slide, pool, and he was happy as a clam.

But we went anyway. And he enjoyed it. We did too, but I noticed there's a distinct difference between "Disney" and "not Disney"--in terms of confidence in your handlers and safety of the park. At Disney, you never think twice about whether the rides are safe or the "cast members" are competent. At Universal...well, let's just say I had a seed of doubt. But we survived!

Downtown Disney with the in-laws tomorrow evening. A decidedly more low-key day by far. And that's a GOOD thing! :hi:

6. Even worse than that
We're rockin' ORLANDO, land of a million-jillion Disney acres and just as many things to exhaust a toddler. Yikers. But the menfolk (DH, MG Jr.) are snoring away and I can't stay away from DU, so now's the time! But I am about to hang it up for the night, because when MG Jr. conks out at 7:30, he's up at :scared: 6:00...

7. I know exactly what your saying regarding Disney and Non-Disney down there.
When we went down there a few years ago, we stayed one night at a hotel near the airport (our departing flight was at 5 AM) and whoa, the standards for cleanliness bar was set very low compared to Disney. I mean, rats might have been turned off by the condition of the place. And this was a major hotel chain location...

:scared:

4. Fine by me
I've done my share. Plus, MG kindly gave me an answer...
