Oh, man, that is absolutely one of my very favorite organ pieces.

It's especially amazing hearing it played live in a church with an organ with 32 foot pipes.

:wow:


Sadly, my laptop built-in speaker isn't giving me that kind of bass response.

DSO on WKAR.

The guy across the street has a pipe organ (a BIG one) built into his house. Pipe loft is open at the top of the stairs, and the whole house is antique and fucking gorgeous.

The priest at my family's Episcopal church installs and tunes pipe organs as a side business. http://www.roberthoppe.com/

My mother called me up and cheerfully said, "I just returned from Appleton where I helped him tune a pipe organ for an evening screening of Nosferatu."

I love my mother.
