A few pics from the around the house
Edited on Fri Nov-09-07 10:16 PM by Maestro
Tonight the cousins are spending the night so, being that I am still fighting this virus and have been immobile for most of the day, I decided to break out the camera and get some family shots. I am not really a candids type photographer but here we go.

Gracie the new grey tabby

Patches the new calico getting some water. She refuses to drink the tap water in her bowl.

Portrait

Can't forget the grand dame, Larkspur, a Belgian Malinois. She tolerates the cats.

Now to the humans....
Libby my very beautiful niece

Libby and Nick in the stuffed animal bin

My kids, Ian and Gabi, in the same bin

The last one of my son Ian

And for those that like my bird pics, here is a quick snapshot I took yesterday on my way to work. It is a belted kingfisher.

You just have to catch them in good moods. Whoa the person who catches the cats in an ornery mood or my kids! The dog is always happy. :)

4. Very nice!
Your children are so beautiful. I know that's an overused adjective, but it's the best one for them! Glad you were able to take pics... even while sick. Hope you feel better soon!

The doctor said it was just a virus, but man it has now migrated from head, to lungs, from lungs to my stomach. Ugh. :banghead: But hopefully it is working itself out now.

10. Thanks for the kind words
I need to do another set of candids with the kids. In our living room we have a 4X5 section that we painted with two colors of paint to create a frame and in that frame I placed several portraits of my kids in black and white. It's now two years old. I need to update the pics. ;)

8. Tell Larkspur that his cousin (my ex-/deceased) dog Hotspur (named for Prince Hal in SHAKESPEARE)
is his soulmate. Here'a one of my pics, a HITCHCOCK take-off:

9. Looks like a bunch of Great Tailed Grackles there.
I hope you didn't stand there too long. ;) I will tell Larkspur about her soulmate, Hotspur. Larkspur is actually the name of a wildflower.

I can't believe I caught here awake and staying still. She is usually always on the move or simply sleeping.

19. Hey Maestro, hope you feel better soon...
:grouphug:

I saw a whole flock of woodpeckers on the way to school Friday, I think they were freaked by the impending gale force winds. All of a sudden I saw
a flurry of gray feathers and white backs and butts!

One of these days I might get a picture of them. :hi:
