Any DUers headed for the Yale Bowl next weekend for The Game?
Both Harvard and Yale are undefeated in the Ivy League this year. The Game will be a biggie. Not to you in the Big Ten, of course, but here in New Haven we have our little delights.

Altho we have nothing like the show put on by the Big 10, which I appreciate because I support Wisconsin (go Badgers!) due to my hubby's school ties, the half time stuff is always kinda witty, if a little bit, er, sophomoric. This thing goes back to the first match up of Yale and Harvard in 1875.

Happy tailgating, all!

1. Fight fiercely Harvard!
Fight fiercely, Harvard, fight, fight, fight!
Demonstrate to them our skill.
Albeit they possess the might,
Nonetheless we have the will.

How we will celebrate our victory,
We shall invite the whole team up for tea. (How jolly!)
Hurl that spheroid down the field,
And fight, fight, fight!

Fight fiercely, Harvard, fight, fight, fight!
Impress them with our prowess, do!
Oh, fellas, do not let the crimson down,
Be of stout heart and true.

Come on, chaps, fight for Harvard's glorious name!
Won't it be peachy if we win the game? (Oh, goody!)
Let's try not to injure them,
But fight, fight, fight!
Let's not be rough, though!
Fight, fight, fight!
And do fight fiercely!
Fight, fight, fight!

2. "Yale Bowl"? Did you make that up?
Does it take place at a BMW dealership?

5. It sure as hell is. And I am so glad it has been redone!
It was beginning to look like the Roman Colleseum. It was a deteriorating mess!.

Finally, with all its money, Yale decided to get it fixed up and it is looking good. Tailgating with champagne is fun again at the Bowl!

Go Elis!
