Florida vet tries to set new record of the most spayed and neutered cats in one day

Local veterinarian aims to set spaying and neutering record

Collier County, Fla. - One veterinarian in Collier County says he wants to get his name in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Dr. Randy Eisel of Animal Life Animal Hospital wants to see how many cats and dogs he can spay and neuter in one day!

Wednesday is Spay and Neuter Day in Collier County. It's all part of a plan to control a pet population that Collier County leaders say is out of control.

Over 2,400 cats are put to sleep in Collier County each year.

Eisel expects to have 100 done by the end of Wednesday.

There is no previous record set.

I'd like to see the ratio on this one. 50 in a day is hauling major...uh, ass. The spays take twice as long than a neuter.

I'd love to see vets compete to beat this record, if set. Without good techs and set up, not gonna happen, though. Animals first, record second, sir.
