5. Try using a Neti Pot.

It is an excellent way to clear your head.

A nice light chicken broth with tons of fresh garlic and zinc tabs will help fight off the worst effects.

It isn't a cure but it will lessen the severity and duration of a cold.

9. My nose started running last Wed

I took Vitamin. C, lots of tea (Gypsy Cold Care, Rose Hip, Night time cold care, and Throat Coat) and it didn't go into a sore throat. I also used Usnea, a Lichen called 'old mans beard' for tea and ate it after making tea, chopped up in a sandwich. I heard they bake it in bread in Russia. Nose is clear now. Yeah... Hope you do as well.
