He had some touch-and-go years and then one day woke up and was this cool dude. :D I like being a mom of a teen. Everyone told me these would be the worst years. Guess I got those out of the way early. :)

Here's another:

He was more relaxed in this one because he was relieved to be done with the presentation to the (Sargeant? Officer? there was some competition and judging going on); for the other, I said, "Say cheese," and he said, "Mom, we're supposed to be stern." :D

from our summer trip through the Cascades. (This is Mt. St. Helens.)

That's me, next to him. Yeah, the one that looks like the kid next to the big dude! :o
