1. Yes!
As long as it's good peanut butter, either is acceptable. But it cannot have sweetener added, or have so much oil added that it's greasy, or have other funky shit in it.

I grew up dirt poor. We got government surplus food. I have never found any peanut butter better than Government Surplus. I loved that stuff!
