Persuading even other DUers about universal health care
makes my head hurt. You would think that being on a liberal board, most people would be all for it and you wouldn't have to sell people on the basic concept. But :wow: GD just is swimming in denial.

 :banghead:  :banghead.

1. Hey, the universe isn't the one getting sick and injured, it doesn't need healthcare.
It's us PEOPLE who need it. Jeez.

3. Well we know of one DUer who prefers
lying in a pool of his own sweat and vomit, exposing loved ones to mono instead of possibly spending any money to seek treatment.

 indeed.

4. He ought to be
preparing to spend the duration on the couch.

;-)

He's not going to hear the end of it and then wonder why she's "nagging" him.

5. Failure is a good teacher
Its possible we're going to have to wait until a lot more people lose their health care coverage before people are willing to get behind reform.

Michael Moore did as good a job as anyone could with SICKO, but most people who have insurance stubbornly refuse to believe that they could end up uninsured or underinsured. Most still think that not having health care coverage is a result of a personal flaw, failure to do all the right things or make good choices.

7. Yes, and the ins cos
are left with exactly 10 billionaires who live in their own hermetically sealed environments and never come in contact with anyone else.

Wow. So the only thing Cigna ever wanted was Howard Hughes.
